Algoa Bay has been named the bottlenose dolphin capital of the world.  On our way to St Croix Island to see the largest breeding colony of African penguins in the world, we will almost certainly have dolphin encounters as well. There is also a good chance of sighting other marine mammals such as common and humpback dolphins, whales and Cape fur seals. We often see sharks and numerous species of pelagic and coastal seabirds. After a delicious seafood lunch in the harbour, we visit SAMREC, a seabird rehabilitation and education centre.
